Grade 1 vault doors provide EN 1143-1 certified security for residential panic rooms, home strong rooms, and light commercial vault applications. A vault door at Grade 1 offers independently tested and verified burglary resistance — providing certified, insurer-recognised protection for the entire contents of a secure room, rather than the fixed internal volume of a single safe. This makes Grade 1 vault doors the appropriate solution for residential applications where the room itself is the storage environment: a panic room, a wine cellar, a home armoury, or a dedicated document and valuables room.

Grade 1 vault doors feature multi-point steel bolt locking across the full door frame perimeter, anti-drill protection on the lock and hinge side, active re-locking that engages automatically under attack, and a solid steel construction throughout the door leaf and frame. These features represent a significant upgrade over a standard strong room door, and provide certified protection that satisfies most residential insurance requirements for a secure room installation.
