Data Plus

The DataPlus is a fireproof data safe graded S2 to EN 14450 and fire-tested for 120 minutes to a data standard — two hours of protection for tapes, disks and drives. Five sizes run from 111 to 556 litres, quoted in LTO tape capacity as well as volume.

120-minute data protection

Data media are damaged at far lower temperatures than paper, and by humidity as well as heat, so a data-rated safe must hold both down for the full two hours. Burglary resistance is graded S2 to EN 14450 — one tier below the EN 1143-1 burglary grades — and certified by ECB•S in Germany. Where an insurer requires an EN 1143-1 burglary grade alongside the data rating, the Fire Star Plus range carries one.

Choosing your DataPlus

Sizes run from 911 to 1,941 mm high, 746 to 1,036 mm wide and 780 to 830 mm deep — substantial cabinets, so check the delivery route and floor loading as well as the space. Capacity is quoted in LTO tapes on each product as well as in litres. Choose a key lock with two keys or a 9-user electronic code lock, and bolt the safe down using the floor anchor points supplied.
