Certified Safes
Certified safes are independently tested and rated to European standard EN 1143-1, giving verified assurance of burglary resistance. Unlike uncertified safes whose security claims are unverified, EN 1143-1 certified safes undergo rigorous independent attack testing to confirm they meet the resistance requirements of their stated grade — providing documentation that insurers, regulators, and security professionals recognise and rely on.
Safegear's range of certified safes covers every EN grade from Grade 0 through to Grade 6 and beyond, catering to homeowners, SMEs, retailers, hotels, pharmacies, banks, government bodies, and the military. Each grade defines a minimum level of resistance against forced entry: from Grade 0 and Grade 1 for general home and office use, through Grade 2 and Grade 3 for commercial and retail environments, up to Grade 4, Grade 5, and Grade 6 for high-value, regulated, or institutional storage.
Insurance policies for business premises commonly specify a minimum EN grade — the correct grade depends on the insurer's requirements and the value of assets being stored. Selecting a safe below the required grade may invalidate a claim in the event of a burglary, making correct grade specification a critical part of any business security plan. Safegear provides expert guidance on grade selection to ensure compliance with insurance and regulatory requirements.
All certified safes in Safegear's range are available with key lock, electronic lock, or combination lock options. Professional installation, floor and wall anchoring, and advisory services are available across Europe and North America.
