STL 3240 - Key Safe (3240 Keys) - Burglary Test Grade I

Item no.: FT-011435-60000

The STL is a key safe certified to EN 1143-1 Grade I, built to keep large key holdings organised and locked away at car dealerships, fleet operators, property managers, hotels and large sites. Keys hang on pull-out key walls stocked on both sides, so every hook stays visible and within reach.

Certified Grade I key storage

Tested for burglary resistance to EN 1143-1 Grade I, the STL carries a burglary grade an insurer can recognise. The door locks on four sides, opens through 180 degrees and is hinged on the right. Choose a double-bit key lock with two keys, a single-user electronic code lock or a 90-user electronic lock with emergency key, in Graphite Grey RAL 7024 or Light Grey RAL 7035. Every cabinet is prepared for floor and rear-wall anchoring, with anchoring hardware included. What you can insure inside depends on your policy and your market, so confirm the sum with your insurer.

Burglary – Grade I

Burglary Grade I – Standard protection level, tested against simple tools and time-limited attacks.
Well suited to home safes and light commercial use.

Questions & Answers

Common questions about this product, from our Knowledge Base.

Which burglary grade should I choose to insure cash & valuables?
Match the grade to the cash and valuables you need to store and to what your insurer requires. As a guide: S1/S2 and Grade 0–I for homes and small business, Grade II and above for higher sums. Always confirm the covered figure with your own insurer.

I forgot the code to my safe. Can you help me?
For security reasons neither SafeGear nor the lock manufacturer holds a master code. If the door is open the code can be reset using your lock manual; if it is locked and no emergency key was supplied, a locksmith must open the safe, which usually destroys it.

How can I bolt the safe myself?
You can bolt your safe following 8 simple steps. Read the article for the full description. If you're bolting the safe inside a wardrobe with a wooden back, we strongly recommend that you cut a hole in the back corresponding to the size of the safe in order to push the safe directly up against the wall.

How can I get an extra copy of the key for my safe?
You can ask a local locksmith to make a copy if you still have a key. If you lost all your keys to the safe, it will depend on whether your door is open: 1) OPEN door - you can replace the entire safe lock with a new lock. 2) LOCKED door - no easy solution. A professional would have to either pick the safe lock (not easy!) or break into the safe to recover any valuables. The exact approach would depend on the security level of your safe but the safe will be destroyed and you would have to replace it.

How many bolts are included with my safe?
One expansion bolt is always included for anchoring the safe to the floor. You can buy additional bolts in any hardware store for additional anchoring to the wall. Recommended anchor is M12/200mm (marked as 12/100)
