Fire Star

The Fire Star is a compact fireproof data safe engineered to protect digital storage media — including hard drives, USB drives, memory cards, and optical discs — from destruction in a fire. Digital media requires a fundamentally different level of fire protection than paper: hard drives, flash storage, and optical discs can be permanently destroyed at temperatures and humidity levels well below those that damage paper, making a standard fireproof document safe an inadequate solution for data media protection. The Fire Star is certified specifically to the data media specification, maintaining interior conditions within the tolerances required to preserve digital media integrity during a fire.

Certified to NT Fire 017-60 Dis or equivalent data media protection standards, the Fire Star provides 60 minutes of fire resistance at temperatures below 50°C and relative humidity below 85% inside the safe — the conditions required to preserve magnetic and optical storage media. Its compact format makes it well suited to individual users, home offices, and small businesses that rely on physical backup media and cannot afford data loss in a fire, but do not need the larger capacity of the Fire Star Plus or Data Plus range models.
