Safe Locks
Safe locks are the critical access control component of any security safe, determining how the safe is opened, who can gain access, and how that access is recorded and managed. The lock is the primary interface between the user and the safe's security — and the right lock choice depends on the operational environment, the number of users requiring access, regulatory requirements, and the level of audit trail needed.
Safegear's range of safe locks covers the full spectrum of locking technologies available for security safes. Traditional key locks provide reliable, battery-free access with a physical key — preferred where simplicity and robustness are priorities. Combination dial locks offer keyless access without batteries, commonly specified for higher-security and regulated applications. Electronic PIN code locks allow multiple user codes, quick code changes, and in some models full audit trail logging of every access event. Time-delay locks impose a mandatory waiting period between code entry and opening, providing protection against coercive access attempts. High-security certified lock modules are available for EN 1143-1 rated safes where the lock itself must meet a specified resistance grade.
Replacement and upgrade locks are available for a wide range of safe brands and models, enabling existing safes to be re-keyed after a security incident, upgraded from key to electronic access, or retrofitted with dual-custody configurations requiring two separate authorisations to open. Also suitable for locksmiths, security installers, and safe technicians requiring certified lock components for installation or service work. Available individually or as complete replacement kits with all required fixings.
