Retail Display Security

At SafeGear we take the security of your store seriously. With shrinkage costing retailers billions every year, it is essential to stay one step ahead of the thief with reliable, high-quality solutions that still let the honest customer examine and test a product before buying. At SafeGear the product is in focus, with the highest quality on the market. As the Nordic distributor for Se-Kure Controls – one of the world's leading companies in merchandise security – SafeGear offers a comprehensive product programme with thousands of part numbers. Se-Kure manufactures all of its products in-house, ensuring high and consistent quality. This production capability also makes it far easier to tailor the security solution individually to your chosen store design.

Apple uses merchandise security from Se-Kure Controls in all of its stores worldwide, and at SafeGear we also work closely with store-fitting companies to create custom-designed security solutions for smartphones, tablets and other electronics to the customer's specifications.

Merchandise security to suit your needs

Video surveillance and mirrors in the store deter many people from stealing, while electronic and mechanical merchandise security makes it less attractive and more difficult for the thief to remove goods from the store.
The best-known method is gateways installed at the store's entrances and exits, typically working with an Acousto-Magnetic (AM) or Radio Frequency (RF) system. SafeGear also supplies Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), a new form of intelligent merchandise security that can also deliver data for inventory management, dynamic electronic price labels and much more. All systems can be supplied with a built-in metal and magnet detector to combat professional shoplifters, as well as an optional customer counter.
Once the entrance and exit area is electronically monitored with security antennas, goods are protected by fitting them with various alarm tags – including Hard Tags for securing clothing, eyewear, alcohol and wine – or you can use Safers, transparent acrylic boxes for storing larger items such as digital cameras, GPS units, games consoles and equipment. Safers are available with a dual alarm function, where a speaker on the item sets off a loud siren if a thief tries to remove the alarm.

To secure display items such as smartphones, tablets, computers and other consumer electronics, point-of-display protection is used. It is built with alarm modules and speakers hidden out of the customer's sight. Cables run out to each individual product with an electronic sensor at the end. If the sensor is removed or the cable is cut, the alarm goes off. The systems are easily adapted to the store's needs and can also be used to secure hand tools, cameras and other demo items at high risk of theft.
