The ION-CLASSIC-90 Battery Charge Pro is a fire-resistant cabinet specifically engineered for the safe storage and simultaneous charging of lithium-ion batteries. Lithium batteries present a unique fire risk through thermal runaway — a self-sustaining reaction generating extreme heat that standard fire suppression cannot reliably contain. This cabinet provides 90 minutes of fire resistance to EN 14470-1 and DIN EN 1363-1, protecting both batteries inside and the surrounding environment from an external fire, and containing any fire that starts inside.
A built-in 3-stage warning and suppression system activates progressively: alerting when temperatures rise, alarming on smoke detection, and triggering the fire suppression mechanism. A smoke alarm and temperature sensor are integrated. Ten grounded charging outlets per shelf allow batteries to charge safely inside the cabinet. A key lock prevents unauthorised access. Integrated ventilation prevents overheating, and the cabinet is mounted on a mobile base for quick evacuation of the building if needed.
